The following routes keep a request with the office most likely to hold the answer.
- For a booking record or photo, use the county records path and the current HPD/RNSO joint request form.
- For present custody, release status, visitation, mail, or commissary, contact RCCF and use the official housed search.
- For an HPD, SHPD, or Buhler incident, start with that city’s bulletin and police records channel.
- For a filed charge or final disposition, use Reno County District Court or the proper municipal court.
- For a person sentenced to state custody, use the Kansas Department of Corrections KASPER search.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the Bureau of Prisons or ICE locator because those systems are separate from RCCF.
- For a tip about a wanted person, use Crime Stoppers rather than a jail records line.
